Were you being transferred to PIP from DLA? If you were the legislation that details how this should be done does not allow back payment of the PIP award, if this was a new claim then it should apply from the date you made the claim providing you meet the requirement for having suffered from your current limitations for at least three months.

I'm afraid this has been challenged at the Upper Tier Tribunal and was held to be lawful.
