Sorry if I’m not doing this right but I’m really stressed and would please like to ask for help.

Last year had Neurosurgery for progressive condition now have cognitive issues. Arthritis in neck, spine and knees, on strong painkillers and problems with asthma. Worked up until then with difficulty and very strong painkillers.
No quality of life just worked 4 days then spent days off in bed recovering.
But had another 4 years to pension age now changed age.

Applied for Esa was told was fit to work so esa stopped beginning of Sept and then no income as employment pay had ceased.
My family appealed and received letter this week to say been put in support group. My doctor and other health professionals were astounded that they said I was fit to work. But appealing turned it round as were given 0 points originally.

Same day I received letter from Pip saying that they wanted to do a home visit.
I previously had my face to face assessment with them a month ago.
Which I thought went ok but now I’m really stressed as to why they want to see me again at home!

Recently I’ve had a bereavement of a close family member and old mental health issues have returned due to stress and then bereavement. Currently being supported by rapid response mental health team due to bad thoughts and feelings.

Which I were cruelly asked to give details about at a nearly two hour face to face assessment for esa. But pip person was kinder or so I thought. As it was just after the bereavement but before Rapid response Mental health teams involvement.

So got relief from one letter from Esa then next envelope notification of home visit despite already having face to face with them. Is this common practise?

Can someone please give me a clue to what it could be. Feel as if my stress levels are rising again. Just not handling things well!

Sorry for going on, hope everyone as a good weekend. And Thank you for any response.

Just to confirm, you had a PIP assessment about a month ago and have now been told that you must have a home assessment?

Is it definitely an assessment, if it is then contact the Assessment Provider for your postcode to find out why a second appointment is required.

If it is not an assessment then I would need to know more about the appointment letter to provide help.

No, it's not standard. My guess is that there is something wrong with the original report or it was never produced! Even if you have the same assessor, the chances of them remembering anything from your previous interview is virtually zero, so expect to be reassessed from scratch.

If you want you can make a complaint.
