HI all am new to the group so sorry If I make a mess of this.I have suffered from anxiety and depression for a number of years following early abuse,a forced marriage,a violent husband, losing a number of pregnancies because of violent husband.I tried a number of jobs but the anxiety and depression have always managed to ruin the opportunities I have had in life. I am now at a point where I have arthritis in my hip and my wrist and a frozen shoulder. My partner has every confidence I will pass as I continuously scald, burn, drop things, bump into things etc. I am not so sure as I have heard such horror stories..I am on two seperate meds for anxiety and depression which leave me in a brain fog unable to focus or concentrate. Please can any one tell me what my chances of passing are? thanks x

I know you are looking for reassurance that your claim will be successful but I'm afraid it's impossible to say, you mention your conditions but not how they limit your ability to complete the PIP activities.

Have a look at our PIP Claim guide, it explains the criteria that you are being assessed against.

Hi,

I totally understand. I had my face to face this morning, and have been anxious and stressed all weekend. I barely slept a wink last night.

My assessment was at home, I didn't ask for a home visit, they just did it. I sent off a lot of medical evidence with my application. I have lots wrong, but have depression, anxiety and panic attacks too. When I got a bit stuck I said it was in the notes / evidence I sent in. Now I wait.

The assessor I had was nice, but went to the wrong house first and was late, so was rushing a bit. Do try not to worry too much, just be yourself and answer as best you can.

I know keeping a lid on stress and anxiety is tough. I can't answer quickly, so now I'm thinking did I get my points across well enough as the assessor was running late. We shall see.

Good luck, keep your mind off things until the day of your assessment if you can.
