I have had an ESA50 for completion. I have multiple physical and mental problems. My last assessment resulted in me having to wait 2 years for my appeal, I was eventually placed in the SG and have heard nothing for 5 years. I am a wreck and after a better year mentally, I am back at the bottom with uncontrollable anxiety, nightmares and non-stop tears. My head is consumed by this form and everything that will come with it. I rarely see my doctor, having all medicines delivered and stopped seeing my therapist a couple of years ago (not my choice).

I have had a lot of therapy over my life and my last lot lasted for 5 years. He provided written evidence to support my claim but now I have nothing recent to send. I don't know how much longer I can cope with this. I am a nearly 62 year old woman, and up until 2014 thought I would be getting my pension by now. That has devastated me along with many others and I cannot get past the lack of care from the government. If I don't send any evidence, they are not going to be kind to me. Is there anything I can do to help myself. I don't even know who my doctor is because I see someone different when I do have to go to the surgery which is two bus journeys away.

I stupidly thought that at my age I would be left alone! Who would even consider employing me? I wouldn't employ me. I just won't be able to cope with going to job centres, work programmes etc. Could you help me with any advice?

It's not always possible to provide new evidence nor is always needed if your conditions are ones that will not improve then the evidence from your last assessment may still be relevant although you will need to explain why it is.

Do you know how you qualified last time?

You can reuse the content and evidence from your last assessment although I would confirm that it is still relevant by using our ESA Claim guides.

If you have any specific questions then please rep;y to this post and we will do our best to help.

Sorry for delay in replying. I qualified for SG at appeal even though I didn't attend the tribunal. The person who was supposed to be going with me let me down and I couldn't face the stress of going alone. I let them know in time and the reason why. Apparently, the DWP didn't turn up either! I got the feeling that they were not impressed that they had not attended. It was decided that, as they had not attended or provided the type of work related activity they considered appropriate, I was placed in SG.

I am really worried and anxious that I have no recent evidence, but will send copies of the letters my therapist provided last time. My health has certainly not improved since then and my physical issues are considerably worse. If I am not put into the SG I will not be able to face everything that comes with it. I will also have my benefit reduced and won't be able to afford my rent. My future looks very precarious..

Sorry for being so gloomy but I don't see a positive outcome. I don't know how you manage to do this, but I am very grateful.

It sounds like you qualified through the Substantial Risk Regulations, this will make it more difficult if you do not have up to date evidence but it is not impossible, have a look at the information that you submitted for the Tribunal as this will likely be the best source.

Concentrate on getting the ESA50 returned with as much detail as you can.
