Hi All,
I have a friend who is receipt of Contribution based ESA and is in the Support Group. They are trying to find out about a Disability Premium that they may be eligible for. The gov.uk website hints that there is a Disability Premium, a Severe Disability Premium and an Enhanced Disability Premium. However, I can only find information on the Severe and Enhanced premiums.

Is there such a thing as a basic Disability Premium?

Thanks.

There is a Disability Premium but it is not payable with ESA and is replaced by the WRAG or Support Group components.

The Premiums are only payable if the claimant is entitled to the payment of Income Related ESA.

ESA(IR) is dependant on your household income, your savings and assets, and any hours that your partner works. See

Asset and savings rule for ESA(IR)

24 hour work rule for ESA(IR)
