ESA and State Pension was created by wolfchile
I turned 65 at beginning of the month and my wife is under 65 and claims ESA as a couple. I don't get ESA myself. The only income I get in own right is PIP. I wondered if I am eligible for state pension and if so how do I claim it?  ‎

The DWP should have contacted you some four months ago about your pension.

No. Not ad anything at all. Reluctant to claim it until I know if they will take it off the ESA my wife gets. I don't know if it is means tested or even if I am entitled one. I had worked from leaving school but was medically retired in 2002

If your wife receives any ESA(IR) then the pension will be deducted from it. Whether you take the pension or not, if you qualify then an amount will be deducted from her ESA.

You really need to contact the DWP.
