We won my partners ESA tribunal 03/01. Autism related, and the important information I wanted to share was that the judge thanked me for the comprehensive and detailed account of his daily living difficulties. She said it was very helpful to them in understanding his situation. From this, I would encourage others to get carers and family members to give detailed accounts of how your disability affects you. It doesn’t guarantee that the DWP will make a better decision, but it was certainly very useful at the tribunal stage.
They only considered three descriptors, because they predicted that that would likely be sufficient for an award and the points awarded went from 0 to 39. Placed in support group and recommended not to be reassessed.
It usually takes the DWP 5-8 weeks to process the result of a Tribunal, I would give them a call to make sure that they have received the Decision Notice.
