Well the brown envelope arrived today with the news we didn't want to see. No awards for either sections. Although they looked at the points we were in disagreement with, they seemed to have used new evidence from consultants which we were unaware. Hasn't changed the outcome as the superseded decision is exactly the same even with the 'new evidence' Will be asking for them to verify if it is new evidence or something they looked at in the original submission.
Ok question is, given things have changed in the appeal stages, What are our next steps? We have the paperwork to send to the tribunals service but how do set out our reply,
Do we use the notice of appeal form you can download from their site or ask them to send one out? Do we call them to give our notice of intent to appeal so it's logged or just reply on the paperwork
maybe obvious answers but as things have changed somewhat since our last appeal we need to make sure we get it as right as we can.

There have actually been no changes to the appeal process :)

The PIP Appeal guide has links to the SSCS1 form that you will need to complete and the Submissions guide has a complete example that you can use to help you fill it in, you do not need to provide detailed reasons at this stage for your request.

Once your appeal is accepted the DWP will prepare their submission to the hearing and send you a copy, whilst you should wait until you receive this to finish and submit your own, you should start to prepare your own case, an increased award will only be made by your showing that you score the extra points for one, so I would start by going back through your PIP2, the assessment report and the PIP Claim guide to see how you might show this is the case.

If you have further questions then please reply to this post and we will do our best to help.

Hi. My MR was totally ignored but I sent in a new GP letter and rang them a couple of times to argue my points so I got a reconsideration of a reconsideration so I'm back up to enhanced.

But I would say look at fightback 4 justice they are an excellent site like this but they can give advice on the phone and via email it's only £6 a month and they are lawyers that deal with this all the time. I will be using them to do my forms next time.

I hope you get a good result. Just wanted you to know there is some hope because I know how hopeless this can make you feel.
