ESA and uc was created by Susanne Marie
I just have question? I’m on ESA in the support group. I understand that eventually people in the ESA support group with a income related award are going to be transferred over to UC. But people in the support group with a contributory award are not? ( that’s so complex for a start, I thought UC made things simpler ? ) anyway question is. What about people with a ‘mixed’ Support group award, I have both income related and contributory. Apparently my award is mixed, that’s what my award letter says that it’s mixed, what percentage of each, or why it is mixed they did not state, but it is a bit income related and a bit contributory. (I came over from incapacity benefit to support ESA) so what will happen in that case? Will I get a bit from UC and a bit from ESA? It’ seems so complex and such a muddle? Do you know? do the DWP know. I have tried to find an answer on .gov but this is not mentioned.

Hopeful

The ESA(IR) will be migrated to UC with your existing award and the ESA(CB) will stay as it is.
