TOPIC: Tribunal

Tribunal 5 months 5 days ago #224045

Hubby has now received the letter from the Appeals Centre to acknowledge that they have received his appeal. It states which venue has been chosen and that they will arrange a date.

My question:
Does he need to do anything further, can he do anything further to help his case?
Anything he needs to know and be aware of when he goes to this hearing? etc
I will be with him during the hearing will they ask me questions too?

Any help is appreciated.

Btw. whoever dealt with his mandatory reconsideration completely ignored medical evidence and made him look like he was a liar.
You can not imagine what this has done to him. His health has deteriorated over the past few weeks and I had to see the GP because it got to me too.

He has a further opporunity to explain why he meets the criteria for an award so I would recommend that he prepares a submission for the hearing, this needs to be sent to the Tribunal Service but I would wait to do this until you have seen the DWP's one, you should receive a copy within the next four weeks.

There's an exampe submission in the MR & Appeal Submissions document in the ESA area.

If you want an idea of what an appeal is like then the following video produced by the Tribunal Service will help.
