passed PIP but was created by dfc1893
I have been given enhanced rate for both care and moving around
but after a lifetime award for DLA Assessor said recall in 18 months but DM has given 26 months
is there any explanation as to why such a short award time (maybe to keep themselves in a job
or is this standard now ???

Congratulations on the award, a big well done.

The intention of PIP is that all claimants should have regular reassessments of some kind under PIP, however, that does not mean that there should be an unnecessarily quick reassessment if the claimant's conditions do not warrant it.

However, members have not had great success in getting the length of their award extended, I can probably still count on one hand those who have been successful and you will need to consider having to go on to appeal to have any real prospect of success.
