CAB and a mess made of my ESA50 was created by j112009
Hello,
I went to the CAB yesterday for help completing my ESA50 and it was a bit of a disaster. The girl crammed all of the information into the small boxes and her written english was awful. I had researched your site beforehand and made notes so knew basically what i wanted her to say. While she altered my words in places and not for the better :( I am left with a dilema.

My form has to be back by the 26th march next tuesday and I've been attempting to make notes to add on to extra sheets for all of the questions she filled in. I was going to put ( go to extra sheet 1 then the question number (say 15) and rewrite or add on things she had written.

Could anyone advise me whether this would be acceptable to Atos or the DM or would it look suspicious.

Please help as this is making my anxiety go into overdrive.

Hi j11,

It is entirely your choice on whether you wish to add extra pages.

You are entitled to fill in The ESA50 to the best of your ability.

If you are totally unhappy with the way your ESA50 has been filled in, you could consider using the PDF version.

That would only be an alternative if your ESA50 is the new ESA50 01/13, which can be downloaded and saved to your PC from the link on this FAQ :

Using The PDF Version Of The ESA50 Questionnaire

How long do I have to complete the ESA50?

ESA50 too big for the envelope

Sending Documents to the DWP or ATOS

Whatever you decide, the important issue is to ensure that The ESA50 is posted in good time to arrive by the deadline given.

Im sure in the notes of how to fill the form in it does say you can add information on additional paper if you need more room. You could write also that you had help with the form filling with CAB

Yes cp,

You can add as many extra A4 pages, and as much relevant documented medical evidence as you deem necessary.
