Thank you for all the help I found on this site and especially the forums. My son with my help sent in the ATOS forms 16 weeks ago and just had a notice from the DLA that he has been granted ESA. Amazing!
I have been in such daily dread all this time waiting for the assessment call and can hardly believe he does not have to face this. I keep having to look at the letter over and over as I think I might be dreaming.
Thank you again as this could not have been achieved without your help.

Many congratulations on the award
You can find out when he is likely to be re-assessed by either contacting the DWP by phone or requesting his ESA85 medical report if he had a face to face or the ESA85A if he did not.
Also, if he has been placed in the WRAG then his ESA(CB) payments will be limited to 365 days, but he may well then qualify for ESA(IR) that has no restriction.
