As for the HB, again thanks, I will follow the advice. This is interesting: I remember another time I did just that, e.g. claimed NIL income, and after 3 months I was almost losing my home anyways, all of a sudden I started to get red letters about the rent and the council response was that the HB on NIL income is only paid for up to 3 months.
This one thing is another of these mysterious things I never managed to understand. Any ideas about this?
I had even explained and proven that in fact I was disputing another ESA stoppage, until I won the appeal. But the council always gave me the impression to be acting weird. I'd be interested in your opinion. Thanks.

Yes, the payment of HB for nil income claims is restricted to three months.

I'm afraid not, we don't deal with HB on the forum,. I was able to confirm the 3 month limit from a reliable source by doing an internet search. It is possible that it varies from LA to LA, but I doubt it.

CPAG and Shelter UK publish books specifically on HB every year, I am getting mine soon.

you mentioned the fact that the ESA stoppage could be, amongst any other reasons, because of the 365 days limit on contribution based ESA.
As far as I am aware, that one already ran out for me a couple of years ago, and then I was advised I would be put on means tested ESA (I think that's how it's called, still trying to wrap my head around all this even though I make efforts to read books about it etc).
Then I won my appeal around May 2016, so it's been more than a year, therefore the current stoppage can't be related to the 365 days limit contribution based ESA; do you think I might be right? Thanks.
