The Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) upheld a complaint brought by www.whywaitforever.com against an advertisement by Atos Healthcare.

Atos Healthcare claimed on its website that each year it processed “over 1.2 million referrals for medical advice” and completed “over 800,000 face-to-face medical assessments”. It also claimed it had 1700+ healthcare professionals.

Atos failed to respond to ASA’s enquiries and provided no evidence to substantiate the claims made in the advertisement.

ASA concluded that the claims made by Atos in its advertisement were unsubstantiated and were therefore misleading.

The complaint can be found on the ASA’s website.
