Spartacus has created an “information hub” on its website for people concerned about the Welfare Reform Bill and its implications for disabled people.

The site is aiming to equip disabled people with the information and knowledge needed to mount an informed and sustained campaign against the government’s welfare reform programme. At the moment it is concentrating particularly on the response to the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) consultation exercise on the Personal Independence Payment (PIP). The site provides a useful summary of the second draft of the regulations for PIP in a document called “Proposed PIP Regulations: An unofficial simplified summary of the second draft regulations”, and intends to publish a second document setting out the consultation questions.

A spokesperson for the site expressed their desire that people will “find that the links and materials there will help them to do their own bit of campaigning against the government’s policies and proposals”.

The site can be found at https://wearespartacus.org.uk/
