Yes, there is still access to Motability cars under Personal Independence Payment (PIP), depending upon the level of award.

The enhanced rate of the mobility component of PIP gives access to the Motability Scheme, in the same way that the higher rate of the mobility component of DLA did previously.

However, the criteria for getting the enhanced rate of the mobility component of PIP is harder to meet for non-wheelchair users than the criteria for DLA higher rate mobility. This has meant that many people who were eligible for the Motability scheme under DLA have lost their entitlement after they have transferred to PIP.
