Hi guys, Got put in the support group end of August 2013,I have numerous problems due to my mining history! Got another form through the post last week, I have filled it in and also emailed my MP who as been acting on my behalf,he drafted up a letter and sent regarding my conditions being degerative, waiting for the reply but I suppose I will have to go through the process again, seems absolutely mad,I have 50% industrial injuries for life,

There has been some talk of increasing the maximum period between re-assessments for the Support Group, but I think it unlikely that we will see any positive changes to ESA, or indeed any other benefits, for the remainder of this parliament.

In regard the ESA50, unless you have it writing from the DWP that it can be ignored then you need to complete the form in detail and provide any evidence that you have available.

Good luck

Thankyou. Gordon, I have filled in the exactly the same and added my condition is worse,my local MP from a mining community in the midlands as been very helpful,At the face to face they did not even examine me because of my mobility problems,So it just amazes me that they think I am employable, carry on regardless

The support of your MP should be invaluable however they are not a medical professional so a doctors letter would also be good but you might want to wait to see if you have to appeal.
