MOBILITY CAR / DLA was created by CHRISSYH
I am on indefinite DLA and ESA (not able to work) Fortunately I retire officially in July this year (2014). I have always had the money for the DLA but am thinking of changing to getting a mobility car. Will they want to change me to PIP if I change to a car. I get highest level mobility and lowest in personal care. How much will having a car take away from my DLA benefit. I don't want the stress of changing to PIP so will it affect me getting a car ?

Using your Mobility award for a car will not result in your being transferred to PIP :)

How much of you allowance is used will depend on what car you pick, but most Motability options use the full Mobility payment.
