Working Whilst on ESA

RR, another thing to be aware of is that the people who answer the DWP phones are often poorly trained and not very knowledgeable about the system. We have numerous cases of members being given inaccurate information on the phone!

Indeed. The mistake of 13 vs 12 weeks from the mouth of my JCP DEA this week is a classic example!!!

It took me 15 phones calls before I actually got through to someone who could even answer my questions on the numbers I had for DLA, ESA and JCP. And the best bit was when I was told by 2 people “I’ve never heard of a Disability Employment Advisor”.

Just priceless!
