You have not said when the Decision to place your wife in the WRAG was made?

If it was before 28 October 2013 then you can lodge an appeal using a GL24 appeal form, however, if it was after the end of October and you were notified that any challenge required a Mandatory Reconsideration then you will need to submit an SSCS1 form with one copy of the Mandatory Reconsideration Notice.

In either case the appeal normally has to be challenged within one month.

If placed in the Support Group you wife's ESA(CB) payments will continue as their is no limit to the time you can receive ESA(CB) while in the SG.

In addition to our Appeal FAQs you should have a look at our ESA Appeal guide
