ESA - severe disability premium was created by Juliac
Hoping someone can help. 
I was recently placed in support group of ESA and in receipt of dla. I had been awarded high mob and low care which I appealed and was awarded high mob and middle care.
Was wondering if I would be entitled to severe disability premium on my ESA and if so will it be backdated.
I am currently getting the £15.15 disability on my ESA.

To receive SDP you must be in receipt of DLA with Medium or Higher rate Care, no one must be receiving Carers Allowance for you and you must be living alone, there are circumstances where you can still be considered as living alone even though some one else lives in the same property.
If you meet these criteria then you need to contact the DWP, you will need to complete a declaration that you meet the criteria, usually an IS10.
The SDP should be backdated to when your DLA MRC was awarded from, if this pre-dates your being awarded ESA(IR) then you will need the DWP to re-calculate when your eligibility for this started.
