PIP awards was created by carmind
In the lucky few cases where a PIP award has actually been granted, is the award from the time of the decision or is it backdated to the time of the application/assessment?
I'm thinking particularly of the long delays being experienced by claimants between their claim and the decision

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

I think that, as with DLA, the award is backdated to the date of claiming, as long as the claimant has submitted the completed assessment form on time. I'm sure one of my fellow mod's will correct me if I am wrong.
