DLA to PIP was created by Vikki
My DLA is due to run out on 19 March, and I've only just got my forms in for PIP.
I have a motability car, and my blue badge also runs out on this date.
If I don't have a decision by then, what happens about my car and badge?

Welcome to the forum,
My understanding would be that you would continue to receive DLA until a decision had been reached regarding PIP.

ok, so the car will be covered, at least I can get around.
Do you know how I would go about applying for a new badge as it expires in a month and I doubt I'll have an award letter in time?

Hi H,
You will continue to receive your current level of DLA until 4 weeks after a decision is made on your PIP assessment.
(Which could take several months)
Therefore, you should be able to use your current Mobilty Award letter to apply for a Blue Badge.
