ESA1 form and Company Director was created by bbzpda
I'm filling in ESA form ESA1, having become sick over recent months and no longer able to run by own business.

I was both an employee of this business and a director. I am no longer an employee (now have a P45) but am remaining an unpaid company director.

Part 5 of the ESA1 form talks about them needing to know about any work as a company director (page 7) but then doesn't ask any questions about that. It asks questions about employers name and address, hours worked etc. But a company director is not an employee.

Anyone any experience of this?

I would suggest writing a covering letter. If you are company director in name only you should explain this. If you have any duties you should clarify that your duties do not contradict your claim.
