PIP tick boxes was created by dizzy55
Hi

Just wondering whether it's a good idea to leave PIP tick boxes empty. I can't find any references to this.
For example, under the 'Preparing Food' section, there is a question 'do you use an aid or appliance to prepare or cook a simple meal?'. If I cannot prepare a meal at all do I leave blank or should I tick no. If I tick 'no' do I risk losing points, even though I will state in the box below that I'm unable to prepare a meal myself?
Many thanks for your help.

Hi Dizzy,

If the tick-boxes do not accurately reflect your situation then you should leave them blank. You should then explain your circumstances fully, continuing on an extra sheet/s of paper if you need to.

You don't need to use the tick boxes if they do not reflect the way that you want to describe your limitations but you do need to address the topic in the comments section or attached pages, so in this case you should explain that you cannot cook or prepare a meal even with the use of an aid or appliance, why you cannot do this and the extent to which you are effected.
