I was a little surprised to read that answering "no" to EITHER of the two subquestions in question 7 would be to assess oneself for max. points. Are we sure they didn't mean answering "no" to BOTH of the subquestions for max. points? Thanks, wc.

The Descriptor is not phrased very well, but the guidance is clear.
You score 15 points and meet the Support Group criteria if you cannot understand a simple message due to sensory impairment, such as the location of a fire escape, if you are unable to understand communication by;
- verbal means (such as hearing or lip reading) alone
OR
- non-verbal means (such as reading 16 point print or Braille) alone
OR
- a combination of the two.
in all three cases, taking into account ay aid that could be reasonably used.
It is the use of the word "alone" that makes the difference to the way you need to read it.
