Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Nick and welcome to the forum. On the assumption that you are also new to the site, this FAQ should help you find your way around.
Welcome to Benefits and Work
I'm afraid that both ATOS and DWP have huge backlogs. We have members who have waited many months before being called for a face2face assessment. Some people have waited 12 months or more until they get a decision.

The normal advice from this forum is to write to your MP.
I'm not sure about this as I suspect that the DWP will use it against you, especially if you have mental health conditions.

Hi op,
Of course, it is a matter of choice !!
However, we have heard from many members where their M.P. has been of assistance.
The only way that any type of action such as contacting your M.P. could be used against you, is if it was in direct contradiction to your stated limitations.
If someone was precluded from contacting their M.P. due to mental health limitations, they could always get somebody else to do so, on their behalf.
