thanks for drawing my attention to that Summertrain. And guess what! my sister has been on ESA around 62 weeks - just 2or 3 weeks off their target deadline as the article describes. They are certainly achieving their stated aims of "disrupting and upsetting people".
I know that compliance interviews are not new, however there does seem to have been rather a rash of them lately, judging by the postings on here.
In the news item it states: As all ESA claimants approach the target deadline of 65 weeks on benefits – advisers are told to report them all to the fraud department for maximum pressure.
This is why I was wondering if it is a new tactic.
I told a friend who is in fact a DM at the local jobcentre about this article and he was truly apalled.
