Please excuse me if you got my first post - I cannot find it :S I am new here.

PIP mobility

My partner used to give me the help I needed to get out and about.

Since he died, I get out less often. Will this affect my claim?
I still meet the criteria on the PIP application form.

Hi Alison,

It seems that, for whatever reason, your previous post got lost :(

I know you have posted in the past so I am sure one of us would have pointed out that your full name seems to be showing as your username?

The criteria for PIP, both care and mobility, are based on your needs for help/supervision irrespective of whether you actually get that help.

Hi,

So, just to clarify,

If your limitations, and "How your disability affects you" have not changed, then it will not affect your claim. :)

Thank you for replying Mrs Hurtyback, I really appreciate it.

Just to double check, points do not depend on whether you can actually get out.

No Alison, it does not matter whether you do actually go out.
