Something else I remember, I was asked when my illnesses started, and some of them are way back, I was asked about each and every one of them what were my symptoms, who did I see and was I referred and who was I referred to and did they diagnose it. They are making sure that you have been properly diagnosed and not just thinking you may have something. I was also called by my first name throughout the conversation which lulls you into a false sense of security.
PIP does not specifically require there to be a diagnosis for an award to be made, but I think claimants will struggle to be given one if there is not one present, I am not counting cases where a claimant may not be aware of the diagnosis or have an appreciation of it.
