Cutlery and PIP was created by Gareth56
For the purposes of PIP is specially adapted cutlery for people with arthritic hands classed as an aid or appliance to be able to take nutrition. Also if you require again due to arthritic hands someone to cut up food because you can't also classed as needing assistance to be able to cut up food?

Thanks

I can't see why adapted cutlery would not count as an aid, however, you would need to explain in detail why you cannot use normal cutlery and in particular what would happen if you did.

I think the principle would also hold true for cutting up food, the primary issue here would be showing that not only can you not cut it up but that you need the size of each piece to be smaller than would be reasonably be prepared and cooked, as an example; it's the difference between eating peas and a piece of steak!

I would expect any difficulties you have in the Taking Nutrition Descriptor to be mirrored in the Preparing Food one.
