ESA atos reassessment was created by Paula Connor
The dreaded medical forms arrived yesterday for my daughter who has learning disabilities plus mental health issues. To be returned by 14th Jan. There was no review date on the award when I checked. I'm her appointee as she would be incapable of doing the paperwork herself & can't handle money. I'm really worried they are going to take her out of support group which she's in now & yet she's worse. Reason being she won't accept any support at moment. Yet I have pretty much kept all paperwork associated with her learning disability over the years. I was really shocked as I thought atos were no longer carrying these out. Just hoping I can keep her in support group. Do they stop benefits while they are carrying out the assessment?

ATOS are still in charge of ESA assessments until Spring next year when Maximus take over.

Assessments times are still close to a year due to DWP pushing too many claimants through the system, while you wait your daughter will continue to receive her current ESA award.
