with profit bond was created by pipsqueak
it was the benefit centre itself that told me my with profits bomd was not counted as part pf my savings for my ESA rate; now they ask me why i think it doesnt count! the wp bond would bump my savings up above 16000. its a bond i can put into and take out, so money is available, yet it has life insurance integral. its with standard life. i have a key facts booklet about the fund. thankyou for reading, can you comment or clarify the rules? pip

I am afraid that we cannot give definitive financial advice on the forum, if you need this then you should arrange a face to face appointment with a qualified benefit advisor, do an internet search for "welfare advice" with your postcode, town or county.
As a general comment, I would expect any financial instrument that would allow you unrestricted access to the capital will be taken into account with to any Income Related Benefit.
