Hi,to everyone,how long does the dwp keep medial information submitted for a laim for Dla or sda, I have been in receipt of sda for 30 years and Dla 20 yrs.

I would appreiate any help or advie you an give me.

Hi c,

The DWP state that they regularly destroy claimant's documentation after 14 months.

However, for live, active claims, they may keep it on file for considerably longer.

You should remember, that for ESA, DLA and PIP Assessments and reassessments, you will be assessed on how you are at the time of the assessment/reassessment, and not how you have been in the past.

Although, historical evidence can help to show that you may suffer with longstanding, chronic, progressive conditions, the more current the evidence that you provide, the better.
