hi bro58,
thank you, I have rang the 0345 number and was told their should be a N.I. number and a reference number on it, but their is nothing it just looks like its a flyer, something they would just hand out to everybody at the jobcentre.

I was also told I could go to the JCP with it and ask them if they are sending them out at all.
I would like to thank you both for the info you have given me I am very grateful.
Thanks again. Jan.

Sorry to drag up an old thread.

A few weeks ago my spiteful 'adviser' made me sign one of these letters at the JCP, then I received another one in the post a week later telling me I had to sign it then send it back so I just took it back to my 'adviser' at the JCP and she put it with the other one. This wasn't a follow up letter telling me I'm being investigated, it was exactly the same one as I signed before.

It mentioned all the things previously mentioned plus a statement saying you have to inform them if you go abroad at all, which I found a bit strange as it sounds a bit like being on tag as a petty criminal, which is basically how we've now been categorised I guess.

As the previous poster said, sorry again to drag up an old thread.

Did anyone get a confirmed answer on this, or did the OP here any more? I got the same letter today, single page in a hand written envelope with no reference on the document. Mine did have the official 0345 number on it though.

I cant call them until Monday now, but it has me panicing, nothing has changed for me at all so I really dont understand why they would send me this letter.

Hi,

Welcome to Benefits and Work :)

If your forum name is also your real name, you may wish to change it to maintain some anonymity.

This can be done quite easily by following the instructions on this FAQ :

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

To me these letters seem to be a "fishing" exercise by The DWP.

If you have any concerns, ring the 0345 number, as the OP did.

The DWP have been sending out other types of letters to claimants in The SG of ESA as well :

The last thing that the DWP would want to do is leave you in peace to deal with your medical conditions and resulting limitations !!
