Should i Claimi PIP was created by Glen
Hi,
I am suffering from MS and i am struggling with my mobility. I am considering apply for pip.
My wife receives DLA low rate for personal care and esa.
If i make a claim will this then trigger my wife to be reviewed for her esa and bring forward my wife's transfer from DLA to pip.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

Any claim for PIP that you make will be in your name only and will not be affect by, or affect your wife's claims. There is no reason why it would trigger a review of her claims.

Please have a look at our PIP Claim guide to see if you meet the criteria for PIP.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
I have changed my name now for the forum.
Thanks for confirming that my claim wouldn't effect my wife's.
I have read the descriptors for the mobility part of PIP. I think i would qualify for it.
I will give them a call tomorrow morning and start the process.
I will have a good read of your guide about claiming PIP this evening.

Thanks
