I'll give it a go, read 50ways and realise that there's more ways to skin a cat. Taking it in small bites everyday but reading the HPC report makes one feel like a liar and I'm an Optimist by nature. I realise that is why they make it so difficult and ME/CFS is an easy target.its soul destroying. I'm concerned that if my defence is too literate it will not help my appeal. I have no help, CAB are swamped, friends are far flung, family is dysfunctional so it's hard to get it together. But I just feel it needs to be done.
Hi S,
You literally have "nothing" to lose and all to gain !

If unsuccessful, you can make a fresh claim for PIP straight away !
If successful any resulting PIP award will be backdated to the time of the original adverse PIP decision.
Have a read through this :
How to write an appeal submission. DR UK
Just because the DWP have refused to make a PIP Award, does not mean that The Tribunal will make the same decision.
Your main submission could be one or two pages of A4 in the form of bullet points listing the PIP descriptors that you feel that you should have fulfilled stating how many points you think that you should have been awarded.
PIP Self Test
PIP Claims Guide. (2nd Link on page)
Then cross reference that to any medical evidence that you may have or have already provided, giving reasons how and why the limitations/disabilities that you suffer as result of your condition/s should give you the applicable amount of points for the relevant descriptor/s.

Who do I contact DWP or tribunal. I'd get more time if I'd been charged & bailed for an offence. Help?

Hi S,
If you have a date for your Appeal Hearing, you need to contact The Clerk to The Tribunal.
Their contact details should be on any letters from the Tribunal that you have, you should have one informing you of the date of the hearing.

Although they themselves need a lot of work to be up to standard they do try to help.
