PIP appeal was created by carmind
A client has been awarded standard rate Daily Living in a transfer from DLA to PIP. If she appeals to the Tribunal Service, will she be paid up until the hearing and, if so, will it be at the old DLA rate or the standard rate awarded under PIP?

Hi c,

Any PIP award made as a result of a transfer from DLA will be active from 4 weeks after the date of the PIP decision.

The PIP Award, which is Standard Daily Living in the case that you cite, will remain in payment from that date, through the MR/Appeals stages right up until the date of The Tribunal Hearing, and beyond, if it is not changed.

See : PIP MR/Appeals Guidance.

So they will continue to receive The PIP Standard DL Award, unless it is changed as a result of an MR or The Appeal.
