just preparing in advance for dla to pip transfer, my husband has mental health problems currently receives dla high care low mobility, he has been discharged from the mental health team as they say there is nothing else they can do for him so he is now only under the doctors care, i have written reports of his condition from specialists, the latest being around 5 years old, he at the time did not exhibit violent tendencies but for the last 2 years he has, i have bruises on my arms and legs where he grabs me, when i transfer to pip should i include the old medical history and make a statement that he has changed or should i discard that and ask the doctor for a new diagnosis, any help wecome

Ideally you need to provide up to date medical evidence, old medical evidence can be used providing that you can show that your husbands condition have not improved or have even deteriorated, however, five years is a long period and if his condition has changed (the violence), this may undermine the reports.

I would have a word with his GP to see what thought they have on the matter.
