Working part time on benefits was created by Patrick
I am currently on DLA mid rate and ESA in the support group. I haven't worked for a few years now but was interested about the possibility of doing some part time work.

I understand you can work up to 16 hours per week or around £100 without it affecting any benefits? Does this apply to support group and if I were to undertake this would I be under greater pressure to return to full time work and at risk of losing some benefits?

You can work for less for up to but not including 16 hours per week and earn up to about £102/week (check this figure as it may go up from Monday 6 April).

You need to ensure that any work you do does not conflict with your stated limitations, if it does then you risk your claim being re-assessed.

Have a look at our guide to Permitted Work for more information.
