Allowable Deductions for Carers Allowance.

It doesn't apply to me as I'm 70 yrs but I'm trying to help someone else.

The DWP guide states" you earn no more than £110 a week (after taxes, care costs while you’re at work and 50% of what you pay into your pension)".

Are there any other allowable deductions such as travel to work costs etc. & if so can travel by taxi be counted?

Thanks for your help.

The following gives a high level view

and the following is the relevant Decision Makers Guide chapter

The following RightNet discussion also covers the subject.
