Does anybody know how much legal advice would cost to help fill in forms and if it would be a worth while decision to go for. I myself could do it but am easily distracted and tend to go off topic.

The issue is more about the availability of support than having to pay for it, other sites you can try would be any charities that provide support for you son's conditions, they may have more specific fact sheets or access to advisors who can assist you.
