hi i am due to go for a Esa assessment next week, i am not sure how the process will assess my problems and how to get my points across to the assessors
in june last year i had an episode which has left me with executive brain disfunction, i have problems with memory ,planning, ect. ive put cloths on the cooker forgeting its still hot, thought ive put the slow cooker on but mistakenly put the fryer on. make cups of tea n forget, n make another leaving brews all over the house etc
aswell as this i am partially sighted, dyslexic and the episode has also left me with a stammer, word finding problems these get worse if trying to give information and i am often left without words. how on earth am i going to convey this information to an assessor

Hi Sd,

Welcome to Benefits and Work :)

Hopefully you have provided information regarding these limitations already in The ESA50.

You are allowed a companion at the assessment.

You could type up a similar explanation to the one that you have posted here, and hand it to the Assessor before the start of the assessment.

They should make allowances for your limitations.

If you haven't done so already, have a read through the following :

ESA Medical – What to expect

&

ESA Claims Guides

Please reply to this topic if you have any further queries.

Good luck and please let us know how you get on !! :)
