ESA Decision letter not received was created by ChemPixie
Hi All,

I'm currently receiving CB ESA and I've been placed into the support group. This was done without an assessment after using the guides to write a very detailed application.

I was informed of the decision by the ESA helpline when I called to query delayed payments & changed in the amount. However, I've never received a confirmation letter from ATOS to state that I've been placed in the support group and how long for it's been awarded for.
I've had letters from DWP showing that I'm in the support group and how my benefits have changed with the new tax year etc.

My question is, how long should I wait for a letter to confirm my benefits? Should I chase this and if so who do I contact?....I'm really worried that I'll ask for a letter and they'll decide that there's been a mistake or something!

Hoping someone can give me some advice and reassurance

Hi CP,

Congratulations on The SG Award without the need of a "medical" !!

You are entitled to an ESA SG Award Decision Notice letter.

However, this would include little detail of what the recommended date for your next re-assessment is, or how and why you were placed into The SG.

As it seems that you have other written notification that you are in The SG, you could request other information and documentation regarding your SG Award by issuing a SAR to the DWP.

See : This Post.
