Is it possible to just fill out the SAR Form and then send it direct to the Data Controller, at the address of the Benefits Office on your most recent ESA letter with DPA 1998 SAR in front, top, left corner of envelope.
sorry for all the questions, thank you.
Hi C,
I really don't know which would be quickest.
However, the important issue is that you have proof that you have issued the SAR to The DWP, and that it has been received by them.
The DWP sometimes provide the information before the 40 days deadline, but we have heard from several members where they have not received the information requested in the SAR within the 40 days and have had to send a follow up letter.
If you wanted to take it to your local JCP so that they could scan it on to their systems and send it electronically, you would have to make an appointment prior to this.
They would only do this by prior arrangement, it is known as an AJCS. (AJAX)

The advantage of an AJAX is that they can't say that they haven't received it.
