Hi I am new to this forum and have read a lot of the feedback posted by people which has been very encouraging. I was awarded the enhanced rate for daily living, and the standard rate for mobility for 2 years. However, I recently received a new claim form for a review a few weeks ago, and a week after sending off my claim form, I received a letter for a consultation. I attended the consultation yesterday (Friday 1st May), and was told that the process for a review is exactly the same as when you apply for the first time. Applying for the second time, I felt more confident with the process having read all the excellent information in the members area, and given that my condition has deteriorated significantly in the last 12 months, I attended my consultation armed with a huge amount of medical reports from my consultants. The review went well, and I person I saw was very sensitive to my conditions. He also said it would take 6-8 weeks before I get a response. I will post again when I receive my dreaded brown envelope.
