Intervention Team!!! was created by Margaret
Hi
I messaged a few weeks ago about my PIP claim.
My daughter who rang on my behalf was told there was a delay on the decision as it was a "Complex Case" Since then my husband has rang only to be told it is with the "Intervention Team" !!!!!!
Do you have any idea what this is ?
Sorry to bother you again but this has been going on for weeks ,and having received a copy of the report nearly two months ago, am concerned about the delay.

Many Thanks
Margi

I can't find anything specific about the "intervention team", my best guess is that there is something wrong with the assessment report, this could be because the DWP think it is sub standard and have referred it back to the Assessment Provider for a new one to be produced, this may mean a new face to face.

Or, there is a significant disagreement between the Decision Maker and the assessor as to the award to be made, for example one is saying no award and the other Enhanced, as a result it has been passed to another team to reconcile.

Unfortunately there is nothing that you can do at the moment to move the situation forward other than check back with the DWP regularly.

Why not ask the dwp in writing to clarify what the intervention team is?
If required, do it by FOI request, which is free.
