Hi
Last year I received PIP to April 2016 standard mobility 8 points. I have now received another form to be returned by May 2015. do they then look at the award again and if they decide i do not qualify stop benefit immediately.
Will I have another medical (last medical October 2014) it just seems really quick on after only going through the process last year.
Any ideas on the stages this application goes through would be helpful.

It appears that all PIP claimants with an award of less than 10 years are to be re-assessed a year in advance of their award ending, we have a number of B&W members already going through this process, however, at this time only one has reported completing it, their existing award was extended.
Until another member reports back with a reduced or removed award we cannot tell you how the DWP will deal with this situation, the Law allows them to apply the change in a variety of ways including making the change immediately or only once the current award has ended.
This is a full re-assessment of your claim, so you must fill in the form in detail based on your current conditions and provide evidence as you can.
It is important that your form is with the DWP by the required date or you risk your claim being closed, we recommend that you send it by a tracked post and confirm with the DWP that they have received it.
Whilst the PIP Descriptors and legislation has not changed there have been updates to the DWP guidance so you should use the latest PIP Claim Guide to help you complete the form.
