I'm sorry but there are lots of reasons they may have rung you, anything we might suggest would just be a guess.
You can either wait for them to call again or write to you, or you can call them, or get someone to do it on your behalf, you would need to be present to answer the security questions and authorise the DWP to speak to the person, but after that they can take over.
